The End User License Agreement (EULA) you accepted when you purchased permits you to use the ProPhoto theme two (2) times, provided the usages are not for two separate money-making ventures. So if they are for the same business, or one is purely personal and associated with the owner of the business, you may just install it again, you need not purchase again. But, if it is for two businesses, or you want to install more than twice for any reason, you need to purchase again.
Examples
Example 1: Suzy has a photography business and she shoots primarily seniors and weddings. She likes to have separate marketing and branding for each type of photography, so she wants two different blogs. Suzy can install ProPhoto twice without purchasing again because she is only using two installations and they are both ultimately for her one business, even though they are separate parts of her business and separate domains.
Example 2: Roger has his own photography business but is also a partner in a separate graphic design company with some colleagues. Roger wants to use ProPhoto for both business. Because they are separate legal businesses, Roger must repurchase ProPhoto to use it a second time.
Example 3: Rachel has a photography business, and she wants a separate blog for seniors, weddings, and children photography. Rachel must buy ProPhoto again because she has exceeded the two-installation limit — she must purchase twice to install three times for the same business.
How To Do It
Install WordPress and ProPhoto again and:
use the same Email address and Transaction ID you used on the previous license, if applicable (up to twice per license!)
-OR-
use the new info from your additional ProPhoto purchase if it is a separate business or you have used a previous license twice already
What about Test/Development setups?
If you need to install ProPhoto on a server for testing purposes, or if you want to work on your ProPhoto Design without the content being ‘live’ for the world to see, but you do not want to use one of the two allowed installations, please follow these simple steps:
- Set up your separate WordPress installation for test purposes
- Install ProPhoto on your WordPress site
- When prompted to register the ProPhoto software, SKIP registration and go to this ProPhoto screen:
“ProPhoto” > “Customize” > “Site Settings” > “Misc.” > “Unregistered test-mode” - Click “enabled” to use ProPhoto without registering
- Click the “Save Changes” button
You will now be able to work with ProPhoto without using one of the two permitted registrations.
Visitors will be unable to view your WordPress site/content. Only signed-in WordPress Administrators will be able to view the site.
You can work with your WordPress content or with ProPhoto settings. When you are ready to ‘go live’ you can disable the Unregistered test-mode and register ProPhoto, or you can export your ProPhoto customizations to be loaded on another live ProPhoto install – more information about exporting/importing Designs can be found by clicking here.
